Meet Joey

Working-Class

Joey has held many roles throughout his life, from factory work at Baker Cheese and Mercury Marine to property management and now custodial and bartending work. Each job taught him something new about perseverance, community, and the value of honest work.

Education & Early Advocacy

While attending the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh for Criminal Justice, Joey co-chaired the Diversity Committee and was a founding member of the first Gay-Straight Alliance at Fond du Lac High School. These early experiences deepened his belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and equal opportunity

Leads Through Listening

Joey leads the same way he works, by listening first. Years working for the people taught him that every person has a story worth hearing. He believes true leadership is not about power, but about empathy, accountability, and action.

Representing Wisconsin’s 6th District means showing up, hearing people out, and standing with them even when it is hard.

Core Values

1

Healthcare for All

Healthcare is not a luxury. It is a basic human right. Joey believes no one should have to choose between paying medical bills and putting food on the table. His own family’s struggle with his father’s leukemia showed him how devastating medical debt can be, even for those who do everything right. He will fight to make healthcare affordable, accessible, and centered on people, not profit.

2

Rural Revitaliztion

Rural communities are the backbone of Wisconsin, yet they are too often forgotten. Joey understands the strength and pride of small towns because he lives it every day. He will fight to bring jobs back to rural areas, invest in infrastructure, expand broadband, and protect family farms. Revitalizing rural Wisconsin means creating opportunity, stability, and hope close to home.

3

Listening Beyond my Privelege

Real leadership starts with listening. Joey believes that privilege should never be a stopping point, it should be a starting point for action. He uses his voice to amplify those who are not heard, to bridge divides, and to learn from people whose experiences are different from his own. His commitment to empathy and understanding guides every decision he makes, because representation means standing with everyone, not speaking over them.
